Who We Are

United Church of Marco Island is an independent congregation with fellowship ties to the United Church of Christ and the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches. This allows to do a better job with missions, evangelism, stewardship, education, and development of new churches because of our corporate numbers. Our fellowship also helps with a ministerial pool when a new pastor is needed, and with background checks and profiles for those seeking staff positions. Our membership is made up of many from other denominations and different faith journeys. Among our church family are United Methodist, Presbyterian, Disciples of Christ, Baptist, Roman Catholic, and even Congregationalist. We believe that each person has a unique faith journey which is valid for them, and we respect where each person presently stands on that faith journey. We consider this to be a church family with Jesus Christ at the head. Our common bond is the love that He shared with us and we share with each other. We welcome all who are seeking to deepen their spiritual journey and grow in faith. Each Sunday is a celebration of God being among his people.
